LIGHT FOOTSTEPS

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of BASF, we designed and built 6 unique Photopods. 

Working with innovative energy start-up Pavegen, our special Pods were powered and triggered by floor tiles that convert footsteps into energy. Users had to jump up and down on the tile to produce enough energy to fire the Pod, monitoring their progress via the number 150 on the front of the Pod, which would illuminate as more power was created. 

During a two week installation at BASF HQ in Ludwigshafen, Germany, our Pods snapped over 2000 self-powered photos!
